| Subject: The Stat Book Sun Nov 09, 2014 3:08 pm | |
| This is the page for explaining stats and how to calculate a result for combat situations. Each character starts with 25 points and may earn up to a max of 32 with xp. The stats are Strength, Speed, Martial Prowess, Willpower, Powers, Resistance, Wealth, and Tech Creation. Any physical stat above 4 is considered superhuman, 1 being below average 2 being average 3 being peakhuman. Please read everything under the spoilers. It will tell you what each stat does and give you a feel for the system. - Combat Chart:
Combat Chart: An example of 3 damage/MP is used for this chart to show players how well their characters can evade attacks and take damage of various levels.
Damage: Damage is either the level of the weapon or ability used or the attacking characters strength
Damage Resistance: Against 3 Damage 1-2 Res (hurt after a few hits) 3-4 Res (Can withstand several attacks before being effected/hurt) 5-6 Res (Shrugs off most level 3 and below attacks, but if hit enough can be overwhelmed)
Evasion: Against 3 Martial Prowess 1-2 speed (can evade a few attacks before getting tagged) 3-4 speed (can evade an impressive amount of attacks before being hit) 5-6 speed (There is very little chance you will be hit by anyone with 3 MP or below, its quite frustrating fighting you with your speed) 6 SP + superspeed power (Your almost like air, your insanely hard to see let alone hit)
(There is no perfect build, you could be the evasive type, the glass canon or the stone wall. Whatever you choose it really depends on the situation if you will come out on top or not)
- Powers:
Powers: There are 3 types of powers.
Minor powers, such as enhanced senses or shape shifting, cost 2 points.
Major powers, such as phasing or temporary smoke transformation, cost 4 points.
Ultimate powers, such as element manipulation or energy projection, as well as anything that is directly a damaging power, cost 6 points.
Ultimate powers are the only type of power that is used directly for attacking, meaning all damaging powers do 6 damage.
You are only allowed 4 minor powers, 3 major, and 2 ultimate regardless if you have the points to pay for more.
Examples:
(Minor Power) Slight Healing Factor: Can heal minor wounds in a few minutes and major ones in about an hour.
(Major Power) Smoke Transformation: Can temporarily turn into smoke, becoming immune to physical attacks until your next turn with a cooldown of 2 posts (your posts).
(Ultimate Power) Magnetism: Can control all types of metal and create magnetic shields with 6 resistance/6 damage.
- Resistance:
Resistance: 0-6 Pretty self explanatory, each point increases the amount of damage you can take and how long you can exert yourself.
level 0 You are insanely easy to harm, a single indirect wound could be fatal.
level 1 You can take as much damage as the average person.
level 2 Your quite the athlete, maybe a boxer with high pain tolerance?
level 3 You are at peak human levels of damage absorption.
level 4 You have a little something more then training, maybe a super soldier serum or the meta gene from the accelerator explosion.
level 5 You are unnaturally hard to hurt, even by meta human standards.
level 6 Your body is like pure steel.
- Strength:
Strength 0-6 This is how much you can lift, as well as how much damage your bare hands do when striking. If you have enough of this above an opponent your strikes have the potential to knock weapons out of their hands or send them flying backward.
level 0 You are insanely weak, its questionable if you could lift even a small object. (can lift a max of 50 pounds)
level 1 You can lift as much as the average person ( can lift a max of 120 pounds)
level 2 You are likely some kind of body builder (can lift a max of 200 pounds)
level 3 Your at peak human strength (can lift a max of 400 pounds)
level 4 Your about as strong as any human could be. (can lift a max of 500 pounds)
level 5 Your striking power is insane, your truly at superhuman level of strength. (can lift a max of 700 pounds)
level 6 Your stronger then most meta humans. (can lift a max of 1000 pounds)
- Speed:
Speed 0-6 This is how fast you can run and how well you can evade attacks.
level 0 You are insanely slow, a fat 8 your old can outrun you. (Top speed of 4 mph)
level 1 You can run as the fast as the average person (Top speed of 10 mph)
level 2 Maybe your a track runner (Top speed of 15 mph)
level 3 your at peak human movement speeds (Top speed of 20 mph)
level 4 Your have reached speeds beyond the fastest of humans. (Top speed 25 mph)
level 5 Your very, very, fast (Top speed of 40 mph)
level 6 Yeah, well, im not even going to try and catch you.(Top speed of 50 mph )
(Peak Stat Power) Super Speed: If you have 6 speed you can add the major power of superspeed to your app. This increases your max speed to 1000 mph and allows the use of sub speed abilities such as fast perception (only used for running, not combat) wall/water running, and an accelerated metabolism. It also gives a slight bonus to evasion (see combat chart)
Kinetic Momentum: Kinetic Momentum is a speed damage bonus. On a cooldown of 2 posts (your posts) a character with 5-6 speed and the superspeed major power can work up their momentum and charge at an enemy. If the attack hits the damage dealt is increased from the characters normal strength level by 1 for each speed point above 4. Basically, if i have 2 strength and i charge you with 6 speed the damage dealt is 4 instead of the usual 2.
- Martial Prowess:
Martial Prowess: 0-6 This is your ability to hit characters with attacks and utilize martial techniques against your enemies
level 0 You don't even have a basic fighting instinct
level 1 You can throw a punch, but have no real chance against an experienced fighter.
level 2 Your probably a black belt in a style or two
level 3 Your a true master combatant
level 4 You are insanely hard to fight in close quarters
level 5 Techniques are a part of you now, your always ready to perform them.
level 6 Any human or metahuman would have trouble with you, you can beat the hell out of someone without directly striking them.
- Tech Creation:
Tech Creation: 0-6 This is your characters ability to create or attain high tech gear. The more of this you have the better your items will be (See Item template)
level 0 You can't create any items
level 1 You can create decent items
level 2 You can create good items
level 3 You can create better items
level 4 You can create even better items
level 5 Your items are top of the line
Level 6 Your items look like something out of a sci fi movie
- Wealth:
Wealth:0-6 This is how much money is in your personal coffers. The more of this you have the more items you can have. (See Item template)
level 0 You are homeless.
level 1 Working Class
level 2 High Working Class
level 3 Low Millions
level 4 High Millions
level 5 Low Billions
level 6 High Billions
- Willpower:
Willpower:(0-6) This is your ability to withstand mental or emotional attacks, be it with the use of a superpower or some kind of toxin. It works just like damage and resistance but with the mental powers level and WP (see combat chart)
level 0 you tire easily, mentally and physically
level 1 Can't block very many mental attacks
level 2 Can block basic mental attacks quite well
level 3 Mind is quite strong, able to withstand a decent amount of mental bombardment.
level 4 Low level mental attacks are useless against your mind.
level 5 Even strong mentalists have trouble penetrating your mind.
level 6 Your mind is a mental fortress.
